To deliver our ambitious plans in the current financial environment, we have been conducting a top to bottom restructure of the council. The senior management team was restructured and reduced in 2016, and the concept of function-based directorates has been abolished. We have adopted a ‘One Council’ approach where colleagues work together across the organisation with the sole focus of delivering better outcomes for our residents and businesses.

Our new workforce strategy is helping us develop the talent we need to maximise the opportunities and face the challenges ahead and highlights the five key behaviours we expect all current and future employees to live and breathe. The roles advertised below are all key elements of our new look council and the size of the task ahead should not be underestimated. There are many challenges to overcome, but the sort of people we’re looking for won’t mind this.
